I installed a fuse link for heated gloves I recently received and inadvertently arked a small screwdriver from the battery to the frame while tightening the battery terminal bolt. I checked my fuses and they are good. I havent pulled the light bulbs to make sure they arent fried. Are there any other fuses I may have missed? I'm not the sharpest tack in the box when it comes to electrical stuff. I'm pretty sharp with everything else. I'm just stumped right now. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks to all. Merry Christmas!

Is the head light the only thing that stopped working? Tail light works, engine runs etc.?   If everything else is ok, I would look at the bulb and if ok check to see if you lost power or ground to the bulb. Hopefully some one else has a better idea.

Arcing the battery terminal to the frame should not have caused any fuses to blow or cause any other damage.
You zapped the battery, but nothing else.
If your headlight is out, you may want to look at other things you disturbed, when installing the wiring for the heated gloves.

Shorting the battery can be avoided by always disconnecting the negative term first and attaching it last.  Battery cannot short if the neg terminal is not attached.

Couple ideas

Bulb burned out. You've likely checked that out by now.

Starter switch. The headlight circuit runs through it. May need to be cleaned up. Shoptalk on this board has the instructions on how to do it. Easypeasy. I've had it where the bike starts fine but the headlight is "out" and the culprit was the starter switch.
