I just got a new set of cobra slash cuts in today and tried installing them actually took them apart and attached to the engine first and the pipe with the nuts welded to will not align up to mount on bike and the other pipe to bolt them together and to the bike.
The pipe that has the thru hole will align to the bike mounting bracket it's the other pipe thats not aligning correctly to bolt the 2 together. What can be done short of calling cobra and complaining?

I took mount off bike and bolted all together and tried to install to engine and still no luck the bends or the bracket is not located properly.

I had the same problem. Found that if you keep all the fasteners loose. You then be able to wiggle the three pies into alignment then hand tighten the rear pipe/footpeg mounts, and then move on to tightening and toqureing the head pipes then tighten the pipes, torque the pipe/peg mounts then fully torque the pipes together.

Those pipes are a pain in the posterior!

I had to use smaller bolts on one side and a little engineering on the other.  When I bought the bike, the guy didn't have the pipes supported because the brackets were offset.

Now I have a good idea of why one of the bolts on mine is too loose and jams either way it's turned. crazy2

One cool thing though...No rattling because of the Valk's smooth engine! cooldude

You can go to last uploads and see some pictures of a Yellow 99 with Cobra's with heat shields installed.  I had the same mounting problems you did during installation.  I have had them on and off a few times since purchased and have the same mounting issues each time.
