For me it was the switch to Shell Rotella T6. 

From the initial fill I switched to Honda HP4S, however I noticed missed shifts.  I then went to Rotella T6 5W-40 and its back to being great, maybe even better than the initial fill.  I think it's weight, the Honda was 10W-40, but unsure at this point.
