This afternoon (Wednesday) I spotted a Black Valkyrie sitting at the Waffle House in Ridge Manor. SR 50, just East of I-75. I was passing in my truck, and can't give you any details, except it was a Black Valkyrie.

Nick, I have no problem with loser buying lunch. However, I have a different stretch of road in mind, and I am not interested in a maximum Top Speed contest. Too many Cops on the Suncoast. I propose an acceleration contest on a more remote 2 lane highway, with one rider to flag us off, and at least one at the other end to call the winner. We can discuss this in person next time we get together.

1997 Valkyrie has been known to do 12.05 in the quarter as per the Internet search.  That is impressive in my book.

  Is everyone's insurance paid up?

That Red & White of Don's has administered soooo many beatings to one of my Harley buddies. He spent over $7k in "upgrades" to his hog always with the same results. Roll on, any gear, standing start, you name it he lost. He asked for everyone of them too.
He even drug out his father in laws modified Dyna something which was considerable lighter. He got out on me early but by 3rd gear I was gone.
At the time my Valk had about 80K miles. Unless Pappy changed them it has I/S springs, a K&N and the glasspack exhaust I built. Stock jetting.
My '99 was as close as I ever felt to it & Kim's '98 was a total dog with the Cobra 6X6  pipes. They just killed the mid range. The '99 had glasspacks similar to Don's '97.
I think the glasspack style exhaust with stock head pipes flowing 3 into 1 with a 2" muffler inlet size enhances scavenging of exhaust pulses while providing the right amount of back pressure.

Either that or it's the red & white paint.  2funny 2funny
