Hey Guys, been pretty quiet around here. Hope everybody's doing good.  Smiley We are riding to Zion with the trailer and camping for a couple days. Our friends Greg & Debbie are riding their Yamaha and my daughter and family are driving their car. April 22-24, if anybody feels a hankering to get back up there it would be great to see you.We probably won't be doing much riding while we are there, we'll be doing the touristy thing.

Ya, not much going on here. I'm going to the Yuma Prison run on the 15th. Strawbobrob and Steph are coming along as well. It's mostly a group of Chaparral Riders but everyone is welcome. Rob and Brenda have a great time. Zion is one of my favorite places to see in the U.S.

I saw your post about Yuma. I'm gonna try to make it down for a day. We'll see about time off from work.

I have been riding my 2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure a lot in preparation for my Alaska trip the end of April. I have put about 5,000 miles on it since buying at the beginning of April. I have not really ridden my Valk or my Goldwing, except for a few miles just to keep them happy.

I plan to go up the Cassier and back the Alaska Highway. The wife and I did a motorhome trip up there three years ago and I talked to a number of bike riders and said I gotta do that one of these years. I plan to be gone six weeks. I will be moteling.

Sounds like a great trip Rich cooldude I'm still working so getting 6 weeks off in a row is out of the question for me.

Here is my modest plans for this summer with Rik since I will not be going to Inzane.

Phx to Provo UT  608 miles I have done this many times. It is the first day out and Rik will be excited and that will be the only day I will get 600 miles out of him  2funny

Provo Ut to Jackson WY   280 miles. Gets us into Jackson early and we will have the night to spend in the town

Jackson WY to Cody WY  177 miles gives us a little time to play in Yellowstone but not a lot Will be staying at the Irma in Cody.

Cody WY to Bozeman MT 288 miles  We will hit Chief Joseph Hiway and Bear Tooth Pass that day.

Bozeman to Columbia Falls. 347 miles I’m planning to spend 2 to 3 nights here to go in to Glacier National park and have a relaxing time.

Columbia Falls to Blackfoot ID 460 miles nice little ride along part of the Salmon river

Blackfoot ID to Kanab UT 497 miles . All freeway but we should get in early.

Kanab UT to Phoenix  350 miles

A little over 3000 miles give or take depending on side trips in 12 days.

Rik doesn't like Bison. Do you think I should show him this Video ?  Grin Make sure you watch the whole clip

Ron, that is a nice trip. Have ridden a lot of those places. Bear Tooth is awesome. I bet there will be nice snow banks on the side of the road, that feel like riding in a tunnel. Cody, you have to go to the museum. We thought we would be there a couple of hours at most and spent the whole day. Quite the place. Everyone complains about the traffic in the National Parks, but why be in a rush; lots of neat things to see. Just have to watch people pulling off and looking at things.

I like how the people in the car just got the "f" out of there !  Grin I hope Michael got out of there without any more bashing. Or maybe George ?  Smiley Looked like he took it pretty good though, got the bars turned just in time.
You and Rik will have fun I'm sure. Keep an eye on Dad for me .  angel

I feel the same way, it's a beautiful place. It's even a little more special to me these days, it was the first ride we did with the SoCal group. They made us feel welcome right off the bat. ( even though we were an hour late for the meet up )  cooldude

Rob, that was nice. Love Zion. What kind of camera? Image stabilization seemed better than most.

It's an older model of this one. Pretty much the same but the waterproof case on mine opens from the top instead of the side. It was on sale for $59 when I got mine. The still pics aren't near as good as the video for some reason though. But it could be me, I'm not a very good photographer. I took 3 memory cards with me to Ireland and got probably 40 hours of video. The hardest part for me is the editing but I'm getting better. Computers are not my strong suit, it took me 4 years to figure out how to post a pic here.  ??? Grin

Yeah I figured for the price I couldn't go wrong. Just all the mounts alone are worth close to that.
