For those wanting a solid phone mount and USB charger.  I put this on the IS, it is very sturdy and well built and accommodates up to a 6" screen.  A STEAL compared to expensive RAM Mount products (just compare), and every bit as well made if not better.  How they got this past RAM patents I'm not sure.

BTW, the mirror mount ball is removable and the unit can be used with a standard RAM mount ball (that's what I'm doing).

Ram had some drop issues with their X mount and introduced a silicone rubber keeper with their units.

Thanks for posting. I'm ordering one.

Their problem was easily solved by removing the four rubber boots (which would sometimes slip off of the metal allowing whatever it was supposed to be holding--go flying), apply instant glue to the bare tips then put the boots back on.  No more slippy slippy.  Smiley
My trip to Inzane last year thru wind, rain, etc. with no problems proved the 'fix' works.  cooldude

Good info. guys.  I have had the RAM model on my Tourer for years with no problems but will gorilla glue those rubber boots down per Tim's advice.  IMO, RAM stuff is great but overpriced.  With the RAM I had to buy the X-grip, mount and ball connecting tubes all separately then still had to figure out how to get USB power to the phone.  This made it easy, on the cheap.  It also comes with two extra rubber boots.

I see this post was started several days ago and you may have already made your decision but thought I would chime in. I have used one from Barefoot Willies for several years now. Very sturdy and reasonably priced. http://www.barefootwillies.com/Barefoot-Willies-Motorcycle-Phone-Holder-s/1818.htm
