Hello all, it's me again.  I am back with another Valkyrie build, or transformation rather...I your not familiar with my earlier turbo Valkyrie build then you can catch up to speed here http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,73425.0.html

I just spent last hour transferring photos from my phone to photbucket just so I could make this thread, so I don't know how many pics I feel up to uploading tonight.  If anyone wants to see something that is not pictured just let me know, and I will post them up.

The electronic fuel injection is controlled by a completely programmable ECU called Microsquirt.  I only have the idle tuned at this point.  I still have alot of tuning ahead.  The engine was first fired up today.  We are running fuel contol only on this Valkyrie, although I can setup to control ignition also at a later date.  I think it was not necessary to control ignition on this bike.

I also changed some of the features from the first turbo install, I hope you all will enjoy the following.

Will this increase the power of the turbo bike ?

@ peak hp it might be minimal if any increase because I had the carbs set dang near perfect.

EFI will give consistency, reliablitly, and control of fueling at every load of the engine regales of altitude....so, is it possible to increase torque and hp in mid rpm ranges vs top end rpm? Most likely. And I can tune the cruising load range as lean as I would like to maximize fuel economy....

Thanks, I TIG only.  The thermostat housing was a PITA to weld, thin cast aluminum doesn't weld well....

Thank you! I used Goldwing intakes for this build. They worked well, the upper plenum to could made to work in the Wing. Or the stock carbs could be modified to have a TPS sensor and you could use that setup...

Thanks Bob! That means a lot coming from the Valkyrie King.  I would like for you to take a spin on it when I get the tune in place...

I appreciate it!  Hey your gona have to to meet up with Ryan in Colorado Springs sometime to see it in person when I get done with it.  I added a separate Baro Senor to adjust fueling instantly for altitude changes since he lives in Colorado.  I could have set it up to take the Baro measurement off the MAP Sensor on first power up before the engine starts but being how you guys can change altitude so quickly it would be best to incorporate a Baro Sensor....

Let me know when you get it all dialed in and I will make time to come up. I am pushing trying to get some of this work out before I head off to Colorado and points unknown at this time. I am leaving in about 3 weeks and I have a lot to do before I go. I am doing my best this year to get out and ride. I only got in 500 miles last year just too much work. For what it is worth Russell and I are planning to make the steam engine show in Pawnee the first weekend in May. Come down and joint us we always go to Clicks for a great steak first LOL

I am currently looking to purchase a Valkyrie or a donor bike to build a Naturally Aspirated fuel injected Valkyrie.  I plan to produce a cost effective EFI kit that can be installed with basic mechanical skills, but in order to do this I will need a Valkyrie to build the first one on....

Of course, this will all depend on the interest I receive.  So if EFI is something that anyone is interested, let me know on this thread or send an email to me dustin@moodysperformance.com.

I will be shooting to produce a complete kit around the $1500 range.  If there are enough interest, I will make it happen....
