Great ride and a great time with friends

Left home at 7am to meet Jerry, Sherry, Dona and Bob at Sunoco on 50/471.
While there, another 1800 Valk pulled in, met Chuck who also on the board, he could not ride with us but decided to stop by and say HI.

Jerry led us through some nice back roads, as always, he did an awesome job finding some great roads with awesome views.
Thanks Jerry for taking the time to plan the routes and leading the way. I am always amazed how you do not need a GPS to remember all those turns  cooldude cooldude

We made good time and got to the Highland Cafe around 9:45, Mike and Tony had just gotten there a few minutes ahead of us.
John and Pappy got there a few minutes after we got our table and it was "Game on with Bkfst".

Got done filling our bellies and moved the bikes across the street for a nice shade, shared some lies and picked on the guys that could not make the ride  Grin

I bolted back home via the super slab as I have to go do the work thing and the rest of the gang left taking the scenic route.

Nick, we missed you so here are some pics as we try to pick up the slack

Hope everyone makes it back home safe and see you guys next time  cooldude

Thanks for the pix, Jack. As always, it was a great ride and great company. Thanks for switching seats with me, Jack. I was going to take the Valk again today, and put a good 200 + miles on it, with 100 +  mile stints without getting out of the seat, to give that Ultimate seat a really good test. I got an 80 mile stretch out of it on the way home before I had to stop for gas, but when I stopped at the pump, my kickstand had ED (it was flopping all over) and I had to position it with my foot before letting the bike rest on it. It also would not return all the way to the stored position. When I got home, I was able to lie down and inspect it, and found that the stud that holds the upper end of the spring had broken off, and there was very little tension on the spring. The other mounting bolt was loose, and, since I have no way to hold the bike upright , and very few metric tools, I elected to take it to Love Motorsports, and left it to be repaired. It will be done by midweek, so I will be able to ride it next weekend. Jack, one way or the other, I will get your Ultimate seat back to you next weekend. I figure that the test I gave it yesterday was good enough, and I will be looking for one in the classifieds, or ordering a new one in the new future.

Glad you got some miles on it and hope it helps.

BTW, Ultimate has a store in Ormond Beach next to Bruce Rossmeyer's Harley.
I think they might also be at Inzane this year, I talked to Des while at Daytona this year and he said they were planning on being there.

The river is the Weeki Wachee. We get in at the mermaid attraction and got out at Rogers Park. It's was about a 4 hour ride on the water. $6 a kayak to launch and $5 for a person to be driven back to pick up the jeep. The water is crystal clear down to the park. We saw a manatee and her calf, some raccoons and a Bob cat on our way home. It was fun.
