Since I've not heard back from the seller re. any instructions or wiring diagram(big surprise there), I decided to venture out on my own. Fortunately, green seems to be ground the world around on metrics. So, using one of my 5000 terminals for multipin connectors, I installed a green wire in the female half and pushed them together, then clamped the other end to the battery. Next, took out a couple probes from one of my voltmeters to use for testing. Clamped one end on the B+ from the battery and started to poke the other end in each spot on the connector. I was able to ID all but three of the wire's functions....two on the main connector and one on the gear indicator. That should be an easy one 'cuz the only one I'll be using will be Neutral. After I got the face lit up I messed with the buttons used to set various functions, most didn't follow any of the descriptions on similar gauges on Ebay. Gee, another big surprise there!  Cheesy  I finally got it switched from kmh to mph for speed setting, which also carries over to the odometer and trip meter....set one and the others read accordingly. Kept messing with the buttons and figured out how to set the clock and how to change the background color....has 4 or 5, figured light blue with black readouts is good for now. Green is ugly, purple you can't read, orange....meh! Since the gear selector on the front of the engine only has the neutral contact, there's no reason for me to hook up anything to the connector for that. I'll just pull the wire out that shows neutral and hook it up separate, then wrap up the rest out of the way. One thing that bugs me is the fuel gauge keeps flashing and I haven't figured out how to disable it, might have to go inside and unsolder something. Of course, if someone wants to give me an I/S tank then I'd have some use for the gauge. I'll not be sitting by the phone for that to happen.  Grin In the new gauge picture, the curved bar is where the rpm readout is shown as a bar graph. Fuel is vertical on the left, speed and other readouts are digital in the open lower half area. The turn signals, neutral, hi/lo beam, etc. are in the dark area above the screen and are quite visible.

I like the general appearance of the gauge, takes up a lot less room and it's not ugly. I will have to fabricate a mount for it, make it to mount in the same manner and location as the old ones. One thing about this gauge, it wasn't that expensive so if I mess it up internally I have no plans to return it due to no instructions and I won't be out all that much money, considering the shipping cost as well. A while back I did find a single round gauge that had all the functions desired, ran off a GPS signal for speed, but the cost approached $300. That's a bit steep so went with second best....something from Hong Kong Chong.  Grin
