Before doing the trip to Sequoia, I worked in the radiator fan and had to drain the coolant from the bike. Since it is over 2 years since I changed it (and it is past 14K miles), I was expecting it to be in a sorry state.
There is some common consensus in changing the coolant each 2 years or after 10K miles, so I had a bottle of the Honda Blue coolant ready to go in as soon I was done with the job.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0089LSFJ0/The first surprise was when I drained the radiator: the coolant color was blue, almost identical as the one in the fresh new bottle.
Next, I decided to use one of those test strips that checks for acid/salt presence in coolant. The test strips looked the same when comparing the 2 years old coolant X the new coolant.
It was then that I read in the coolant bottle this: "Complete protection for 5 years or 60000 miles".
