It seems harder to find posts when things seem to be reshuffled whenever a new reply is added.  You never know where to find a previous post, unless there is a setting to change this.  Did I miss it?

Thanks!

I've got the same question...  Things kinda go away, once lots of other posts are made.

You can look at unread posts since your last visit.  The link for that search is on top of every page just under the "Hello" message.

click on the column header "started by"  this will sort all posts by date/time the post was initiated.  All sticky will be at the top, followed by the posts in chronological order.  Enjoy!

Any way to keep it "on" all the time?  Have to change to that option after each manuever thru the board.

Click a second time to reverse order... i.e. newest on top.

This is a tough one, but Craig and Connie have the quick solution.  By default, this type of message board isn't designed to be sorted that way.  And this particular software (simple machines) didn't have that option at all.  I modified the code to add the sort by post , at the top of the column.

As of right now, there isn't a way to KEEP it that way.  I will however work on finding a solution, since I'm sure thats going to be a popular option for some.

For now, here is how I would deal with it.  Click the "Started by" column and get it sorted to your liking, which will probably clicking it twice.  Now, as you read threads, Right Click the Thread, and open it in a new Tab or Window leaving the original list in the previous tab or window.
