The Missouri Fall Colors ride for 2016 has been verified and hotel has been selected.

First off…the ride will be on October 22nd.  We are going to be riding in and around the
Mark Twain National Forest…with stops at the Maramec Spring Park (a trout hatchery) and
Elephant Rocks State Park.  Maramec Spring Park does cost $5 per vehicle (each bike in our
case) but we feel there is easily that much entertainment value out of the part.  There is a
museum, the trout ponds and holding areas, and a foundry.  You can see more about the
park here:  http://www.maramecspringpark.com/

Click the link to see the route:  https://goo.gl/maps/XiYbEbpPwAH2

Ground zero will be the Super 8 in Potosi.  When making your reservations, please call the hotel
directly and tell them you are with the Valkyrie Group.  Room rates will be $55 for a single room
and $59 for a double room.  There are 10 rooms blocked off but more can be added easily.

Below is the hotel information:

Super 8 – Potosi
820 E/ high Street
Potosi, MO  63664
573-438-8888

I am looking forward to seeing everyone there.  It should be a Great ride on Great roads with
Great friends.  Don’t miss out.

Please post on this thread if you are going to attend so I can get a head count.

Joe & Monica, best of luck to y'all for another successful gathering... I'm sure it will be good, as they all have been! I'm sorry I couldn't make it this year, but... you know... Anyway, I'll have a good thought for all y'all as you carve the curves in Missouri.

Yeah...that was bad for sure.  I don't believe we will have that issue this year.  The last part of the route will have us going north.

Would love to make this event.  Unfortunately, I have time and money conflicting events.   Already committed to transport a couple of vehicles to South Carolina then.    Cry    No getting wind in my hair unless I stick my head out the window like Bowser does.   Undecided   May have to try that.

Bump for what I'm sure will be a great time.   cooldude

Our room is booked.  This will give me the opportunity to compare the fall colors in North Carolina this weekend and Missouri next weekend.  I'm sure there will be good riding all around.

Ride safe,

Well...just come on down ya damn yankee!!!   Evil  There are several coming from Indianna...don't know if you want to try to hook up with them or not...Hal, Gavin, and Steve Eads to name a few.

It is looking like it will be a GORGEOUS weekend for a motorcycle ride.  It will be a cool start but should warm up to a nice and sunny 65 by the end of the day!  CAN'T WAIT!!!

We rode the ride today just to make sure everything was good. We will be changing the route a little bit and where we are going to have lunch...but it will still be a great ride. The leaves are definitely changing and next weekend should be awesome!! Looking forward to seeing everyone again!!

If anyone has a reservation for the ride and can't go, please contact Tom & Joyce Jordan.  I forgot to make a reservation   Sad  , and the hotel is booked up.  There aren't any other hotels in the town. We are on a wait list but a couple down the list. So if you can't go, we could contact the hotel and swap.
