Stebel Horn Problem

Ive got a Stebel Nautilus horn on my bike for awhile now. Been working fine. Then just the other day when I hit the horn, it sounds half dead. I havent touched anything and the wires are connected to the horn correctly. Is it just the horn died?

I would clean all connections at the horns first and if that fixes them apply dielectric grease to protect them.
Did you use crimp type connectors to supply hot and ground? If so check them too.
I solder all my accessory wiring so I never need to dive back into a confusing mess and not know what's what.
Of course, you'd think I'd have followed Kingbee's lead and labeled all of my tangled mass I wove.

Mine did the same thing after 3 yrs. It's mounted under the swingarm so the environment is pretty bad. The reeds are getting a bit dirty or rusty. Take it out and drop it on the ground a few times. Then spray a light oil lube down the troats and rotate it so the lube goes back into the workings. Mine's been working fine ever since the "repair".

Mine was on the bike when I got it. It was mounted on the ride side of the motor. I moved it when I got the bike to under the swingarm in February. I think that might be it so I'll try your method. I'll let you know how I make out. Thanks.
