I've always had this high-quality thick-leather Heritage
tank bib. It has a pouch and a gas cap cover. Heritage was
in Canada, and I think went under during the bad economy
of 2008/2009... Anywho... probably due to my delinquent care,
it has become tired... it is stiff as a board and the cap cover
has shruck up some...

I saw the nice soft Talisman ones at InZane, so I sent off for one
for the Log Truck, with a pouch and a cap-cover. The Talisman
bib tucks under the tank escutcheon, so you have to remove
it... just the two screws...

I had a rag over the hole most of the time, don't want to drop any screws
down in there! It is pretty clean, though  cooldude I have one of those
"japanese philips" bits, so this closeup shows the screws are in nice shape.

Ta Da!

It looks good, Mike.

Scott does good work and the material he uses won't age and distort the way the leather did.

That looks good....I have a leather bib with braided edges.

I like the idea of the pouch, it looks handy. What do you guys like to use it for?

Also the fill lid cover. It looks a little bulky. I assume it's to keep the chrome shiny. Any other reasons?

They make the covers to reduce the giant chrome reflection in
the windshield. I've had a look-over windshield for years, so
I don't care about any reflection anymore, but I am used to having
the cover, I like it now.

I put my wallet and phone in my pouch on the Red bike and they
have to get mixed into the saddlebag contents on the Black bike...

Phone, charge cord, sunglasses for me. Sometimes my garage door opener. But never my wallet.  Smiley

Why not...mine is very secure in there on mine.  I can't stand carrying a wallet in my back pocket.

I'm way too forgetful. I'd leave it in there and get ripped off. I've been carrying mine in my front pocket for years, since I had a herniated disc.
Have you been able to ride lately ? Hope you are feeling ok.  cooldude
