We're very close to a deal with a hotel for the InZane 10th anniversary.
We'll be announcing the location in a few days.  In the meantime, here's another hint....

It's a state that has been recently colored on my states ridden map.
If you've been paying attention, that's a pretty BIG clue.   Evil

I'd prefer upper, but I suspect I'll hit which ever one it is.

Missed # X, was 1st one missed from I to IX, due to a artificial knee that the Dr wouldn't release me to ride with, and trying to breath in that firkin altitude.   I suffered big time the 1st year we were there.   Even stopped in Castle Rock for a few days to try & get used to it.

I will bet there are some good deals to be had in Detroit.

Maybe we should start a thread, Is my concealed weapons permit good in MI and the states between here and there?

interesting that you should bring that up Duckwheat,,  After MI was tentatively identified as Ground Zero, I got out my CCW reciprocity book and checked out the necessary route from Texas to Michigan.    Looks good going thru ARK,TENN,KY,IND into MI.

OK. . . . I've never been to an InZane, so if that disquaifies me from speaking on the subject to some people, that's fair  Smiley  Having said that; The west coast of Michigan - Holland northward to the Bridge - is an INCREDIBLE area. North out of Ludington to up past the Dunes is as beautiful as ANYWHERE in the USA. There's plenty of great roads and scenic rides, not to mention a fantastic "big" city in Grand Rapids (and of course 'Gary' who bleeds Valkyrie oil is based in GR too.)  I LOVE the east coast as well (my wife's folks owned proeperty just off the Ausable, near Foote Dam and we used to camp at Old Orchard Park) Anyway, wherever it's at in Michigan (except for Detroit) will be a great choice.

Hmmm... In that case, let's dig a little further back in the history of F6Gal's map and see what we can find...

Hmmm... Washington, Oregon or Nebraska... I'm betting it's Washington or Oregon given the hints we've been given...

So I guess what was overheard at the Holiday Inn lounge in Frisco vis-à-vis the location for "X" was true (and it was not heard from the person here who has been so kind to give us these clues).

With this added "hint"... it now all comes together... miles are miles, aren't they... no matter how many... or how few?

See ya there...  Cool

New hint...

According to MapPoint, by their "quickest" routes, RP#62 and Duckwheat could both earn Iron Butt Saddle Sore 2000 awards.

Engemt could almost earn a Saddle Sore 1000; in fact, if he choses a route that avoids all toll roads, his SS 1000 award could be earned.

I have some old college buddies in Michigan and a brother-in-law up in Traverse City so it will depend on what time of the month it is as to whether or not I can make my FIRST Inzane...if it's in the middle of the month I'll start making plans...if it's at the end I'll miss another one  tickedoff
