I have some old college buddies in Michigan and a brother-in-law up in Traverse City so it will depend on what time of the month it is as to whether or not I can make my FIRST Inzane...if it's in the middle of the month I'll start making plans...if it's at the end I'll miss another one  tickedoff

Start making plans then... July 14-18 (July 13 for the early bird night)

A guy up the street has rebuilt a couple red ones but is currently working on a 69 Camero.

We'll have to see about riding up there Steamer, I don't think I'll have too much trouble getting Violet to go.

Yes I know what could happen when you ASSUME but I really don't think you would have the INZANE around say Ann Arbor...I saw directions on how to get there once.
Go North till you SMELL it, then go West till you STEP in it , they were on a bumper sticker in Ohio State colors  2funny
I hear the upper part of the state is real nice.

Yer right, I have never been there, like I said it was a bumper sticker in Ohio State colors. So the person probably only went there for a game or two. I'm looking forward to it to be honest, I haven't seen the college buddies in 30 years.

New hint...

According to MapPoint, by their "quickest" routes, RP#62 and Duckwheat could both earn Iron Butt Saddle Sore 2000 awards.

Engemt could almost earn a Saddle Sore 1000; in fact, if he choses a route that avoids all toll roads, his SS 1000 award could be earned.

Okay I am sticking with Traverse City, MI till told otherwise!!

Otherwise.

Duckwheat would only have 1995 to Traverse City and from N. Newton to Traverse (sans toll roads) is only 995.

Connie,

You're killing us here!  I can't wait to find out where we'll be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of InZane. No matter where we go it's always a great time. That's because of all the work you and all the other staff do in finding just the right place and then working your tail off so the rest can have a good time. For anyone who thinks these events are put together in a short time or just a snap of a finger don't have a clue how hard the staff is working year round to make sure the events are a sucess.

It overlooks a lake with the same name as the nearby town.  Both are within range of a one hour ride to a city on a bay which both bear the same name.  The bay, of course, in on a lake bearing the name of the state containing the city with the same name as the bay.

My guess is Houghton Lake is ground zero, in which the town and lake are the same name. It is also about one hour from Traverse City which is also the name of the bay which is on the boarder of Lake Michigan.
