I was visited today by one Steelwheeler. He requested that I show his lady some business, and quietly slipped me mulah to upgrade her *ahem* foglights. He even provided me pathfinders to show her the way.

Of course this requires me to undress another man's lady, but who am I to argue with such a pretty one dressed in Burgandy? Even my classic back dress hunny was staring...

But we all know what this show is about don't we? I know it is a bit taboo to compare one chest to another, but I personally like a little taboo.

That is a nice set if you ask me, and the admore is a super sexy touch, too.

So this is how far the foreplay has got us... one sexy lady with her bra removed, ready for some wreching and wiring. Tonight is going to be a fun night!

A big thanks to Steelwheeler for letting me put some hands on his ride. We shall all finally know if my setup will make the SoCal lights work. More to come, lol.

Yeah it does seem a bit dirty that he is paying me, doesn't it?

Well I'm glad he came over so I could do the deed because....

IT WORKS! I know pics or it didn't happen, but I'm sitting down with my wife to chill for a bit. I've got a big poop eating grin on my face. Steelwheeler's lady will rest well tonight after all the work I just did to her. She flashed me white and yellow on command!

In all seriousness, the first harness that Admore made for me will NOT work with the SoCal lights! I have confirmed that the lights will switch on with 5V power. This means that the running light feature of the first harness keeps the turn signals on.
Being the sneaky bugger that I am, I asked for a SECOND harness to be made that only uses 12v power on command. The second harness has worked like a champ and I will be contacting Admore directly to let them know. I've been waiting on a set of lights forever to test and this is the exact reason testing is so important.

The first style harness will allow the installation of nearly every running light/turn signal LED setup you can think of. The second harness is for turn signal (NO RUNNING) setups. Pics and video to be posted tomorrow(ish).

Pics, as promised. First, we must look at the directions as we are rule abiding folk aren't we?

Well I'd say that no longer applies to me! Proof in the pudding!

So now I'm waiting on a few more posi connectors to complete the job. I'll run the wires and make them pretty. The lights run in white until the turn signal is selected, where they switch to yellow and back to white while the turn signal is on. The stock signal blinks as normal.

I'll work on the video posting, but it is has a very noticeable effect. The yellow gets a bit washed out when the actual fog light is on, so I'd recommend riding normally with them off and turning them on when extra up front visibility is needed.

The only thing better than fondling the goods is getting some video of what you've done!

I need to get a hold of Admore tomorrow and let them know what worked. You will want the harness that provides 12 volts only! No 5 volt running lights.

Moofner  Cheesy
You master problem solver extraordinaire the mystery of the Socal Pathfinder foglights finally has been solved! You're like a Mad Scientist in your work shop testing concoctions with your vast knowledge of electrical/mechanical  theories to arrive at the desired solution.  Reading through all your past posts on this site cemented my impression that you were the guy that I would bring my Valkyrie to. Not for experimentation but because your determination and curiousity I could see finding  the solution appeared to be on your bucket list. I am proud to have sought out your expertise and I think you are a genuinely great person.....my gain as a friend. Bravo to you for all your efforts.....gotta give you my biggest THANKS publicly  for a job well done. cooldude

Thanks Al! I'm flattered by your words.

I just got off the phone with Admore Lighting, they are very excited that their second harness works! They are going to send me some instructions and descriptions for BOTH harnesses. They are interested in making them universal for ALL bikes, not just our Valkyries.

Within a few days, the details will be worked out and Admore will know how to help future customers with the harness that will work on the SoCal Pathfinder lights. Specifically ask for Dave if you can't wait for the website to be updated and have to get a harness now.

Much deserved accolades for your efforts. In the YouTube video you mentioned a nanosecond between the blinkers and foglights ask Admore if that can  be corrected through the module for a synchronized response between them.  Thanks......... Grin

I can't tell if it is my eyes playing tricks on me or not. The effect of white to yellow is so fast that it takes the brain a split second to catch up. Admore will not be able to correct that because it is sensing the bike's signal and converting it to a 12v signal in real time. Sort of the same effect that sound processors have on music, it takes a few nano seconds to process the signal.

Well I know it works, but that was only half the fun. Now I have to route the wires properly and secure everything for a less than shoddy looking setup.

First, this is the shape and size of the controller that will work with the SoCal Pathfinder lights.

The wiring from the foglights needs to be routed towards the controller. Future installs can see the controller placed in other areas at the user's discretion, but I think the area under the seat is the perfect spot and easiest install.

Connection of wires to the harness will done through Posi-Lock weather sealed connectors. Easy to use and reliable, with a tight firm connection. Tap into the wiring harness comes from Posi-Tap connectors. Small footprint, easy to use, and easy to remove in the future without original wires being damaged. The harness itself tucks in quite nicely next to the stock wire bundle and fuse box.

Final ziptie and wire protetion is completed, with everything tucked into the tube or down next to the fuse block. Plenty of room to work with here.

And finally, because my bike is getting jealous of all the attention that Steelwheeler's ride is getting...
An obligatory bling photo from my Valkyrie.

Time to put everything back together, do a handle bar adjustment, and get a few more snapshots for Admore lighting and SoCal lighting. They are both very keen on seeing the finished product and official write-ups for consumer purchases.

So Steelwheeler's lady has all her clothes back on. I gave her a bath to freshen up.

Here she is sitting around some other lovely ladies.

The younger ones were a bit naughty and flashed me their foglights...

So something of note after the everything was back together:

The ShowChrome lights fill out the cowl more than the SoCal lights. This is an aesthetics thing only. Both lights do what they were made to do, but in my opinion, the ShowChromes light up the road better. The SoCals do a better job of making you more noticeable to traffic. Apples and oranges really.

All in all, this wasn't a bad install. A little time consuming maybe, but that is to be expected when you need to remove so much Tupperware to get to the insides. Thanks again to Steelwheeler for coming to me, and I hope he enjoys the extra light!

Total Satisfaction   Cheesy........Congrats on a job well done cooldude This was worth the  wait having the Pathfinder foglights installed  by you even traveling 3 states to get to you. My apologies to you and your wife for being late on  picking up the Valkyrie. Thank you for staying to help tie the Valkyrie down. Mission accomplished  Grin  The Socal foglights really make my Valkyrie look AWESOME from the front. I don't see a nanosecond between the turn signals and the foglights  blinking. Everything looks normal to me.
