Thanks, CharlieMac.

I have the dates on my calender already.  Just waiting to make reservations!
I am thinking about going around to the north one way, and go on the ferry across the lake the other way.  Does one need to make ferry reservations for that time period, or do they always have room?

MP

I would recommend making reservations.  I have looked into it on a few occasions and they have been booked up on most of them during the summer months.

Sounds like we need to book rooms thru F6Gal?

The VRCC will indeed be handling room reservations for the Shanty Creek resort, but I believe Charlie was advising on the  need to reserve space on the ferry.

Thanks Willow.  My bad.  I imagine I have some time to do that yet.  Waiting on the room res's yet, so know just when going.

Thanks again.

That's great! This would be our first Inzane. Our IS is a 2000 model and this is Inzane 10, so that has to mean something! We have a couple biking friends that are Valkers too so do you get a discount if you bring someone and if it's your first Inzane and if it's Inzane X and our bike is a 2000 and ...........   uglystupid2

Only tickets I have ever got have been in the car. Seem to get one every 5 years or so, is that significant? Never had one on the bike, not that I havn't deserved one on several occasions!!!  2funny Anyways, it's more relaxng to just cruz and  become one with the surroundings, but only to a certain extent!  crazy2

I have not been to one since 2001 in Zainesville OH.   I'm realy excited about making the trip and seeing all the great rides.  I hope that I find some folks making the trip and coming through the Kansas City area on there way.

This time I'll be a little less spend happy.  I believe the guy was called Mountainman who pin striped my bike. Very nice work. Then I found a cool set of valocity stacks for that extra visual effect.  The next morning I bought a set of driving lights that mounted to the original turn signal mounts. Oh ya found a nice throttle lock I just had to have.

Maybe this time I'll just look .....

I highly recommend a visit to the Black Star Winery on the Lelanau Penninsula, if you are into wine.  In particular their Late Harvest Reisling.  MMMMMM!

Okay, who let Blackdog and Meyer get to cross BIG MAC on the blacktop? We did it a couple of years back and the only lanes open were the metal grates. Left a "V" in my Corbin from gabbing it with my butt cheeks! I'm with Black Dog, take the time to make the lap up around the Wisconsin side.
OBTW: Blackdog, yes,I still have my Valk. If I'm still verticle, I plan on making next years Inzane.

I was just on a road trip through Michigan Smiley and stopped into Shanty Creek Resort and did a tour of the hotel & rooms    coolsmiley.  Very nice. Staff guy was very helpful and is looking forward to our arrival.  Roads in the region are great, nice & curvy, scenery is also great.  Can hardly wait for July.... its gonna be a great ride in and out, as well as the events l'm sure......and from my home, here in Fort Frances Ontario Canada, its not that far so hopefuly we Canadians will be there in large numbers........I plan on buying a pie at the banquet - sure hope the 'pie auction' is gonna be on the program again.. laugh

Would it be possible to post the Hotel cost. I had looked on there Web site and prices were high I know we get a better price as a group but how much better? This info would help in budgeting for the event. I want to do all the rides I can this year and take the long way up to Mich. and longer way back.

I'm not certain we've agreed upon the final prices as yet, but they'll likely range between 90 and 120 per night for a room, depending on which room you get and when you register.

Soon.  I'd like to avoid receiving InZane money until after the first of the year to keep things simpler for us.
