Bought Bone stock with 1500 miles on a 2003 standard in 2005, Added Custom leather bags on easy brackets, a Memphis Fats shield, and debadged it.

Also added this old school GPS system.

64,000 miles later, this is her today with IS tank, faring and hard bags.

I picked up this IS and trailer with 42,000 mi. in May 2010, Currently at 114,000 mi. on this one.

My first Love affair with the Fat Lady was back in 2004, and have had 4 since then.

I joined VRCC in August 2012 after already searching for a certain color Valkryie for a couple months. My interest in the bike started back in 1997 while at a Johnson outboard/Honda motorcycle dealer doing a service review or looking at a problem engine for him. They had one out there and I didn't want to go and do what I was supposed to be there for. Just wanted to look at that Valk.
Fast forward to around November 2012. I finally found the color I wanted and pretty much exactly what I wanted on it. Only problem was that I live in Central Florida and the bike was 70 miles South of Austin, Tx. We agreed on a price and I flew out on December 14th, bought it, slept on their couch that night and was off to Florida the next morning at 6AM in the middle of a wet, cold, windy Texas cold front. Outran that front that day and made it to the Ms./Al. line that evening. Up again the next morning once again in the middle of the same front. Outran it again and was home by 4:30pm on Sunday. What a great bike and first ride!

Previous owner.....

The bike, as I bought it

On the way home. Note the flags at half mast.

Florida line. Lordy I-10 is a long boring road !

As it is now....somewhere in Georgia on the way to Morgantown and Inzane.

And loaded up, with Bronxboy, in green, on the way to Morgantown

Bought my 2001 in 2006--4,300 miles. Last (and largest) bike I had owned was a CB360 in about 1986. Purchased it sight unseen (and untested) from ebay. I believe the only add-on was the chrome plate on the backrest. It looked like it had just come from the Honda showroom floor.
