Can anyone recall a write-up that someone did on his Corbin seat several years ago. I did a search but could not find it.

Had a Corbin Dual Touring seat on the Tourer when I purchased it. The only write-up I can give for it is, ouch.
Replaced it with a big ol' cushy Hartco.

Thank you for your product review, but I am looking for a write-up that may have been written by Chet-“Rattlebars” or someone like him. It was a few years ago.

Strange coincidence, I had the same issue with the use Corbin seat I picked up for my 1200 project. It had(note the past tense) the very bulge Chet is referring to. It's caused by the horn(for lack of a better term) at the front that slips in the front seat stay under the nose. Why it was designed that way is beyond me because it's not necessary. I cut out that bulge, formed a new horn and at the back where it normally would have been fastened to the seat in that bulge, I simply bent the mounting metal piece downward to match the angle of the seat pan. It has since been riveted into position and glassed over....no more bulge. Chet's right, that bulge was right where the "boys" sit and any good bump is an attention getter.

I have had two Corbin seats and while hard I could log waaaaaay more miles in a day on one of those than any softer seat.

I love my Corbin seat as well, but added a sheepskin cover and comfy, yes. Small price to pay vs. getting another seat.
