Leaving for Laconia Friday. Been in the Bucket list awhile. Going with 3 or 4 other riders who have been b/4. We have a house up in Campton NH.
Any other Valkyrie riders going?

Have fun. The weather looks good this weekend so I'm going to ride there this Sunday. I'm only 2 1/2 hours away. Tomorrow  I'm going to Americade for the day.

I went there a few years back.  Total waste of time for us.  There was 8 or 9 Hells Angel recruiting centers though. If you want to join up.  Lots of half naked chicks that 'belong' to the Angels.  Lots of drug paraphernalia, lots of idiots on bikes and tons of cops.  We saw two motorcycle accidents on our ride in.  Pretty much, if you don't ride a Harley there is nothing there for you.  Laconia is put on by the Angels apparently.

Bscrive thanks for the heads up. Heard about the Angels thing from friends that went a couple of years ago. We actually go for the ride in NH & VT. A friend offered bed & board at a house about 20 miles north of Laconia for minimum cost, cant pass it up. We will probably check out the rally at least one day but plan on putting on miles in the mountains and forests.

Leaving 7:00 a.m. Sunday from Halifax, NS.

Me on my new (two month old - demo) 2014 Valkyrie, and my buddy on his older Valkyrie Interstate with tent trailer.

I had to buy a new tire for the front today (toast after 8,000 KMS) from a local "Harley" dealer. The local "Honda" dealer said, "it is an odd size and on back order everywhere". The Harley dealer had 5 in stock... Dunlop American Elite 130/60/19 that Harley puts on one of their big touring bikes .

The group I hang with (mostly Goldwing owners) with have a good time ribbing me about buying a tire with Harley Davidson written on it!!!  HAHAHAHA!

Anyway, I'll be the bald, 6' 3", 59 year old guy with a mostly white gouty... wait... I just described 75 percent of the bikers out there.
