Ya, I asked for #6 again. I'm thinking we should be leaving Hope around 9 am. I don't know if you'll all be behind or ahead of me. I'm sure I'll have to make a quick stop at Manning Park for Tess. But 4.5 hr driving time to Grand Forks form there, should see us there by, what? 3 pm? |

I headed out from Johnny's Motel at 06:30, temperature around 38* F made for a brisk ride. The Danville crossing, that I used on Friday, doesn't open until 08:00 so West on 3 towards Osoyoos... nice piece of road! Fueled in Rock Creek and headed up the hill, a few km (Canadian speak) later a large deer suddenly appeared out of no where right in front of me! It was like it was beamed down from an alien space craft, I had just enough time to tap the front brake and perform an "O crap" emergency steering maneuver, cleared the ass end by inches! As a machinist I understand about clearances, sometimes it doesn't take much as long as there is some! Thinking of investing in an electronic deer whistle like Steve has on the Wing, I've been seeing lots of deer recently, some crossed in front of me on Friday on the way over. Todays incidence was WAY too close! Hit rain as soon as I reached Western Washington, the last hour of the ride home kinda sucked but I did get that Canadian dust rinsed off. Made it to the house by 15:00 with three gas and goes, a lunch stop in a very smoky Cle Elum and a stop at a road side fruit stand for some peaches. I want to thank the British Colombia Chapter for hosting another great weekend, can't wait to ride more of those assume roads through that gorgeous area next June! A special thanks to the cooks for Saturday evenings barbeque dinner, very tasty! Redline  |

OK, for next years Valhalla we're going to have to address a very serious issue  . IMHO there was far too much laughter and giggling coming from the vicinity of the girl's picnic bench I managed to pry out of Margaret  that topics like men and sex were running rampant . But, she wouldn't elaborate , and just started giggling all over again . ??? |

I thought I saw you behind me from Canadian Tie West Kelowna until Boucherie Rd. Turned out to be another Wing. I stopped at the Westside Rd Exit to wait for you and let you know I was going to take Westside Rd. I think you saw me stopped just before the Westside Rd Exit. I saw you go by and it looked like you waved so I figured you knew what I was doing.
