looks like the new bmw to me.....

Hey, it just might finally have a power up/down windshield, something the old wing should have had for over a decade.

definitely does not seem as big in terms of weight and roomy comfort in the saddle as well as smaller luggage capacity, all drawbacks to me.  but it does look sportier, just like the beamer...

Only ones going to buy new are the people who can afford 30K for a cycle and for those that do,  they do not much care about how much it costs.  Unfortunately, most of that generation is a dying breed.

There are a lot of folks in the GWRRA that will have a new one pronto.

Some can be put in the same category has those serious Harley Guys who blow 40 grand on Screaming Chicken edition Ultra Classics.

I suppose, only time will tell like always.

Hmmm... I just noticed something...

This one appears to have a clutch handl:

However, this one does NOT appear to have one:

So looks like the rumors of an automatic might be true... (Insert standard disclaimers here)

Initial reports of test rides on the GL1800 site mentioned the DTC would be offered on the Goldwing only while the F6B would have a 6 speed manual.

Looks to be the opposite if these photos are legit. I guess we will find out Oct 24th.

Uh , what if. listen to me now. just what if the new Gold Wing features a removable trunk? UHHH I know it has been a very repeated "WISH" item on many of the forums. If Honda was paying attention.

THAT, my friend would make for a very expensive outing to the Honda dealer for me.  Grin cooldude

Don't count on it. If this is legit I predict it will appeal to a slightly younger group of riders as well as the die hard Gold Wing fans. The demographic of this club has changed significantly over the years. When the Valkyrie first came out it was considered an expensive motorcycle and there were plenty of us that paid prices for them that are likely comparable to todays Gold Wing prices. I get it that your mindset is that you would never buy a bike for $25-$30K and likely many of the current members of this forum would not either but there are still plenty of folks that will.

I like what I see so far, sportier looking and more tech.

If it is all true I will be checking this bike out

Is it just me or does the Speedometer go from 120 back to 100 or is that the mathematical symbol for infinity?
That would be a 130.    coolsmiley

Get some glasses.  Cheesy That's a three not a zero. It is 130. At least that's what I see. I know the picture isn't very focused blown up like that.

For those that don't like it...
there's gonna be some screamin' deals on some really nice first & second gen Wings.
(Probably even a few new leftover 16's)
I'm already watchin' for a low mile '06↑ so I can have Guhl reflash the ECM.

That was my hope...that it was going to be amazing so the market would be flooded with 06+ Wings for cheap(er).

It looks like a winner to me, if the pics are real. Although not nice enough for me to pay 30 grand for one. Maybe in 5 years when they're used and half the price.

Now if they could just add a few inches in the middle somewhere so taller riders can fit without having their hips, knees, and ankles bent at negative angles.

Taller riders are freaks of nature.  Nothing should be done to encourage this sort of genetic misapplication.  Perhaps we should be seeking ways to surgically reverse the error of height rather than insist that the whole world take measures to address the handicap.   Wink

I don't like it, but then I'm just not old enough yet to be ready for a wing.  I have old friends who are and I have no problem with that.  I do occasionally ride in or drive a Civic.   Smiley

Many years ago, before widespread camera phones or I woulda gotten a pic, I saw a truly sad sight.

A Goldwing Trike.

With a roof.

...being trailered...

Edit - added a pic:

This wasn't the one, but very much like this one...

If I had one, I'd trailer it.

That would be a good reason to have an "enclosed" trailer IMHO.
Ironically, I like trikes but, the roof......................   Well, that just ain't right.....   laugh

There is a guy close to me with a yellow wing and custom roof. I asked him about it once and he said he is 92 years old and loved to ride but hated the sun due to skin cancer several times.

You guys might want to take a close look at the yellow idiot light in the tachometer face up close.

I love the way you think when it comes to  those that have way too much length of leg.
The government should  have to redistribute  the extra length to those of us in need!!!!
