I'll do an intro if this post sticks.  First one didn't.

I am looking for passenger opinions on a 2014 F6C.  Assuming footboards, sissy bar, decent seat and a front windscreen of some sort.

I've been reading a lot of posts here and a passenger perspective would be nice.  Second hand, okay.

I don't know of any 1800 Valk owners on here. You will get answers if you post on the Main board.

Do you own a Valk?

My wife is super comfortable on the 1500 with an Ultimate
seat, arm rests and a Mustang backrest. She didn't care
for the 1800, not with the Corbin seat and back rest and
certainly not with the little pad Honda puts on there.

The 1800 is good for me now that I sent the rider's seat
to Russell. That would probably do a lot for the passenger too.

No, I do not.  The pickings are skinny around Tucson for 2014 test rides.  Just looking for people that have been there done that and related wisdom.  I will post in the general population for more hits.

Chose the AZ forum . . well because I live in AZ.

Thanks, Hubcapsc for the information.

Okay, here's the deal.  I have been riding, off and on, for forty+ years.  Started on two Hondas and then switched to two Harley shoveheads.  A 1973 FLH and a 1977 Superglide FXE.  The FXE is my current bike.  I love this bike but my wife hates it.  The ride for her is horrible, to hear her tell it.   Admittedly, the constant maintenance is finally starting to wear thin on me, also.  But it is a forty year old bike and it kinda goes with the territory.

I will be selling it and moving in the Honda direction for what will be my last bike(s).  I am not concerned about me and my comfort as much as I am my wife's.  She has Parkinson's and needs a comfortable seat, boards and windbreak.  I know I should be looking at a Goldwing but I really don't want to go there if I can make a '14 Valkyrie work comfort wise.  If I could strip the bags off the GW and if it would still look like a motorcycle I would probably go for it.  The 1500 Valkyries look better than a GW in my opinion and I might go in that direction.  A 1500 GW and a 1500 Valkyrie could probably be had for the same money as a 2014 (I love the looks of this bike) Valkyrie.  Old bikes don't bother me as long as they are dependable.

Long winded, I know.  End result is a bike that will relatively wrench free and comfortable enough to keep my wife on the seat behind me.  Which she really wants to do but not on a shovel.  People are so spoiled nowadays.

I live in Tucson.

First off. You got a 77 Harley ? My hats off to you. That's no small feat in itself.  cooldude I think either the Valkyrie or the GW is going to seem like heaven to your wife. I only know 2 new Valkyries in the state. But I don't think either carries passengers. Do you ride that Harley as far as Prescott ? If so, you should ride up to the gathering next month. They might be there. I've decided at my age, I'm figuring in the price of a Russell seat in the purchase price. Will never go back now.  Smiley Good luck in your search. Get the Valkyrie, a seat, back rests, arm rests for your wife. Take them off when solo.

Going by what you posted I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that an 1800 Valk will not fit your needs.
The new valk is attractive in that it can be had relatively cheaply and will be almost maintenance free compared to your HD.
What will not be attractive is that it will take a lot to make it comfortable to fit your needs. A seat alone will be big bucks..
If you are comfortable turning a wrench you might be better off picking up an older 1500 Valk to use two up and keeping your  Glide.

Come on out to the "Barbecue at the barn" in Prescott.  I am sure we will have a collection of Valkyries and you can get ideas for different set-ups.  Maybe we can coax the owners of the 1800 Valkyries to show up too.  I have a Valkyrie Interstate, and my daughter used to ride everywhere with me.  She would fall asleep on the rear of the bike.
