I,ve heard this exhaust on the Valkyrie and love the sound. They aren't cheap but are there benifits beyond sound quality?

They make you lose several horsepower... there's a site sponsor, MarkT, who still makes pipes for Valkyries that add power and look good, he uses the OEM headers...

I have had 2 sets and I have loved them both. His updayed version includes a crossover to equalize pressures adding to total torque...check them out

Pros: They look cool; they sound cool; they require no rejetting (just Cobra needles).
Cons: Single-walled headers are prone to bluing; reportedly result in the loss of several HP (I doubt you'll notice).
As always, YMMV.

All the 6x6 pipes have the same pros and cons. To me 6 pack pipes look the best and sound the best. They are probably the loudest baffled after market pipes, and they tend to get blued headers. When I had Cobras on I just decided I liked the blue headers. Then as soon as I really got used to the blue it went away. Changed to a golden metallic color that was even more cool.
I believe 6x6 pipes rob a couple horse power but even believing that to be true I couldn't tell the difference.

Up to 10 HP, if no other changes are made.
And you'll want earplugs, if you care about your hearing. And full face helmets are arguably worse than half helmets.
Do not buy new, used are generally for sale all the time..... and without years of use.

Several? Up to 10? I don't think so.
All 6X6 are the same? Nope.
My wife's bike has Cobras. If there are a few less horsepower it's not noticeable. I have two Standards with TBR 6X6 and an Interstate with OEM pipes (piggies cut). I'll run my Standards against anyone with OEM pipes and do well. The one, Daisy Mae, will run away from anything with OEMs. The one with Cobras will keep up with one of my Standards.
The only real advantage other than sound and appearance to the 6X6 is less weight. Approximately each seven pounds in reduction equates to the effect of one horsepower.

Thanks for the imput guys, guess I'll have to put more thought into this. I did check out the site sponsors site (MarkT) and his pipes look pretty good as well.

I love mine No noticeable loss of power under normal riding conditions Awesome sound but the resonance in a ff helmet is madening, but solved with earplugs. No noise issue without a helmet (sound best that way to me)
