We have a '99 Valkyrie that the temperature light keeps flickering on the tachometer.

We have changed: Radiator cap/fluid/thermostat

The only other part in the whole system that we haven't replaced is the Indicator Unit, Temperature. The part # is 38710-MZ0-003

Has anyone had this same problem and how did you fix it. Honda says they no longer have the part so I need help in locating one IF that is the problem.

I know I purchased parts from a scrap yard in Minnisota (can't remember the name).

Can someone help me????

The place I've used is in Ohio. Pinwall Cycle Salvage.

Try searching the tech board. This issue has been corrected and reported before.

You have double checked the fluid level? What had you done last before the "flicker" started? Air in the cooling system?

As Valker said, this is not an uncommon problem with 97-99 Valkyrie Stds and Tourers. If your fan is not coming on, it probably is not over heating. The item that fails is the Temperature Indicator Unit which is not available new. You can sometimes find a good used one though. By the way, salvage places  usually call this a fuel pump relay and of course the Valkyrie does not have a fuel pump relay.  You'd think they would know better.
