Just got a look online at the new 2018 Goldwing.  Wonder if there is a new Valkyrie on the drawing board.

Doubt it.....

Where did you see the new Wing on line at?   There is a allegedly a new F6B as well.

Here it is on Youtube.  The new F6b is at the very end.

The guy talks too much and he doesn't say the most interesting thing. Obviously the new GW is built on the new F6B basis rather than the other way round. If Honda is clever, you might be able to buy a F6B and get the rear trunk  and seat arms of the standard GW as a spare part.  cooldude

There has been an engine redesign if the pics and videos are correct. They finally have done away with spark plug wires and gone to coil over plug configuration. The front cover looks different and the heads look different.

A few more leaked pitchers here from about a month ago. https://www.asphaltandrubber.com/bikes/2018-honda-gold-wing-leak/#more-142579
I really like the F6B, even more than the full dressed Wing. It looks more like its own bike than a slightly stripped-down afterthought. Can't wait to see these in person, not that I'll ever have a shot at owning one without hitting PowerBall.

I kinda like the B as well. Well to clutch or not to clutch is the question, I would think they would offer both.  I for one would really like to try DCT, not saying anything either way, just would like to try it.

If it is like the paddle shifter on my wife's Spyder, it would be a pretty good addition.  Especially, if it down shifts for you like the Spyder does.

The DCT on the Africa Twin and on the 1200 Crosstourer is fine, I like it !

Well the cat's out of the bag now.  And damn is that a nice machine. Don't think I'll ever be able to swing one in this lifetime unless I live long enough for used ones to start hitting the market. But I sure wouldn't mind owning the standard Wing if'n I could.

Edit: I was just thinking -- this would be an awesome platform to re-re-introduce the Valkyrie on. They already shaved 90 lbs off the previous years Wing -- imagine shedding all the Tupperware on top of that. And keep the 7-speed DCT option. Ooh, I think I need a cigarette.

I pulled into the garage after work today.  My Valkyrie is now broken-in to the point that the mufflers have a bit of a growl to them.  I sat there and let the engine purr for a minute before I turned it off.

Nope, I don't even want to consider another scooter.  After this winter's project I'll have mine exactly where I want it.

But, Bravo! to the Honda R&D team.  They appear to have created another very nice refinement of the Goldwing marque.

Well I don't care about the riding modes because I have a secret : when the riding conditions are precarious, I don't twist the throttle like mad !  cooldude
Obviously Honda missed something about the electrical windshield : GPS and all stuff on the shield the way you have it now on mid-range cars.  Cool

I will say this, lots of nice upgrades. The removable trunk, very cool feature.
