Has anybody ever used one like that shown in the link to Ebay and if so, how easy and successful was it? I'm going to change the valve stem seals on my 1200 and want to do it as quick and effective as possible. Last time I did it on one of these flat fours it was a PITA to use the type in the picture so am curious about the type in the link. These old "arthur" laden hands may have to have a small extension added to the handle in order to push it down, but otherwise it should do the job a bit faster/easier than the one in the picture.

I have one like that and what I did is, put a big washer under the two tabs and use a magnet to pull the clips out.

I have one of the Ebay type, had to bend the hooks a little to fit a GL1000.
The metal is very brittle and cracks when you try to bend it. Had to do a little welding repair.
But it got the job done.
