Yes... you know who you are, so fess up!!!   Grin

3 Valkyries - I counted twice to make sure...  laugh

3 Valkyries located at Cajun Harley Davidson demo day October 30th in Lafayette, LA (or maybe it's Scott, LA???).

One was black/red (not strider though).  The second was black with grey flames.  The third was me.

The black and red left while I wasn't looking, so I didn't see the rider.  I never found the black/flame rider either.

Who are you???!!!???!!!???!!!???

On a side note, I didn't test ride anything, but I did get to sit on an XR1200.  Looks like standard Harley finish (pretty good).  The foot pegs are a bit high and back... I could do with about 2 inches down and forward.  The seat is WAY FAR back... I'd have to lean WAY forward to reach the bars... but the seat can be easily fixed to give me a more upright seating position.

On the whole, not a bad looking bike.  I like it's small size.  It'd be a nice bike to have for running errands around town if you can get the seating position to a comfortable place.  Too expensive for my taste though, I'd rather have 3 cheap bikes than one pricey one.   cooldude  Maybe I can find a used one for sell in about 2 or 3 years.........

Get a used Magna.  They run much smoother, are not as top heavy, are much quicker in the twisties, faster on the straight and will cost you a bunch less initially and in the long run.  Besides, they are known as Baby Dragons so you can start a family. cooldude

Dusty,

Bike ran awesome for about 2 weeks... then all of a sudden I get a miss in the high end (5000+ rpm).  Doesn't feel like a fuel issue... it's too bumpy and drastic.  Feels like the bike literally shuts off for a microsecond, then kicks back in full power.  Plus it ran way to well to all of a sudden start this due to fuel problems.  (Literally like someone turned a switch...)

I'm thinking plugs or wires.

I noticed a ticking at idle that disappears while at 2000-3000 rpm while cruising.  I initially thought it was valve clatter... since they were recently adjusted as quite a few of them were tight, but I'm starting to think it's something else since I noticed it soon after I noticed the high end miss.

I'm going check the wires and plugs some time soon.

How's your bike running??????
