My bike fell over today while in th garage. It fell all the way to the handlebars. Once I righted it the starter won’t work. I was thinking tipover sensor. My question is, would the lights work if the tipover sensor was stuck, because they do.

Have you cycled the key several times.

Make sure to check your dragon drool tube too...might need draining after going over.

Yes, the lights will work. Turn key off and back on. Should start then. Hopefully no damage ?

The key was not on when the bike fell over.

If the key wasn't on, then it should have done anything. It's a kill switch, to turn off the engine while running, if the bike was to fall over.

As mentioned, turning the ignition off, then back on, should reset it. But if it wasn't on, I don't now why you would have had a problem. Unless the sensor was buggered.

What else should I look for?

Back to basics. You say it wont start. What wont it do?

I'll try to run through it without going to the bike.

Turn on the ignition, lights should come on.

Press the start button, lights go out, starter turns over.

If it doesn't turn over, does it make any noise? Is the Kill Switch turned on (cycle it)?

If you're like me you bumped the handlebar kill switch when picking up the bike.

Checked all that stuff, guys, but thanks anyway.the first thing I did was cycle the kill switch.
It fell on the kickstand side and I winched it back upright.
The kickstand was in the up position when it fell.

Is it possible you damaged the kickstand safety switch being it was up and fell on that side?
Try pulling in the clutch and see if this helps? It is going to be something dumb!

What is the bike doing when you try to start it?

Side stand up, gear in neutral, clutch lever in.

Turn the key, lights go on. Bike is in neutral, as I can roll it. Press starter button, nothing. I had it started 5 minutes earlier, and had shut it off, before it fell over.

have you tried bypassing the side stand switch?

I think this might just be bad luck. The light should go off when you press the start button.

But I think it's time for a starter switch over haul.

Does your neutral indicator light come on?

Last year in my garage I got on my 98 Tourer slipped it into neutral I thought. Nothing, rolled the bike back and forth nothing.

Took me awhile but I noticed the neutral indicator light wasn't on. I wiggled the shift lever while rolling the bike a little and the light came on !

Hit the button she cranked and fired. You might not be in neutral.
