What is the volts output with engine at 1000rpm? How many miles are on it?

It is possible that the alternator is over charging.  Back to basics, dis connect the battery , fully charge it. Get a volt meter reading on battery. Hook it back up and start the bike. Recheck the voltage . 13.8V is the max (or close) . If voltage is not to specs , then it may be an alternator. Remove and clean all grounds and connections. A bad ground will cause your problem also.

Sort answer, yes, the alt can cook the battery. Is it at those low miles, not likely.

You need to do some more work.

1st, have you read some of the write ups on how to properly charge a new battery? I don't know off hand, but it should be used.

I think more likely your alt isn't charging your battery, and you keep on changing the battery. It's not fixing the problem. You need a volt meter, and to test a few things.

Which flavour of Valkyrie do you have, and any extra accessories on it that could be causing a drain?

Missed the no add ons, but with this statement, there is either a draw or the battery is shot. But the 3rd one?

Pull the positive, and with the power off, place the amp meter between it and the batter, and see if you have a draw. There is NOTHING to draw on a stock std/tourer. So I suspect the Stock no add ons, unless he's leaving the power turned on?

How about a picture?
