Title: Neee 1500 waterpump for 99 Interstate
Post by: mrtlc on September 05, 2019, 11:15:52 AM
There has been a little noise down there and a few drops of anti freeze now and then. Would like to have parts on hand before removal. Maybe I'll find a loose clamp and a tensioner that needs repair, but I'd like to be prepared. Any body have a good source or one for sale? Thanks Terry

Honda? Don't buy used. Try Partzilla, Bike Bandit, Powersports Honda eBay etc, Honda Direct Line

Often the drip off the water pump is a loose T'Stat clamp. The leak runs down the engine and that's the drop-off point. Tighten that clamp first before any other repairs. The "noise" could be one of the belt tensioners.

Drain the oil before you remove the waterpump, the waterpump runs off the oil pump.
