Title: Center Stand Post by: Tundra on July 01, 2020, 03:56:01 PM I saw a 1800 Valkyrie today with a center stand. I didn't know that was an option. Owner states it is a Goldwing stand and works fine. (which makes sense)
Anyone do this? It's about $500 bucks from Mother Honda although could prove priceless for tire changes and maintenance. I'm not certain if it would be an issue regarding ground clearance for twisties? I'm not certain if it would be an issue regarding ground clearance for twisties? Got one on my Valk, bolts right in since the Valk is a Goldwing. I picked it up on eBay for less than $100. Check there as these are new take-off from trike conversions. A 2017 and older wing will work. Granted it was six years ago. Could they have gone up in price that much? As far as ground clearance? You'll scrape a lot more stuff before the stand. And because the wheels are inch taller the bike goes up very easy, but both tires almost touch the ground. Title: Re: Center Stand Post by: Bill Havins on July 01, 2020, 07:26:31 PM The center stand is nice to have. In addition to the stand, there is a rubber bumper that you need. When the stand is up, it rests against the bumper and keeps it from banging when you hit big bumps as you go down the road. The rubber bumpers are available from the online Honda parts outlets.
