Have you considered giving it a try yourself? Many of us with help from youtube and such have. Is the carb rack off the bike?

It is off the bike.  I did take a look at You Tube and I think I will give it a try.  Do you know of a good place to get parts?

Does anyone know if there is a kit to buy?

I'd get new slow jets size 35 here. I did not get new jets my first time and thought I had cleaned the old ones sufficiently but alas new jets were ordered the second time around.

You really do want to break the carbs apart or you may have to do them again next year with a leaky fuel rail. Do the job slowly step by step. The special tools are in the redeye kit.

Where do you live I live near MPLS but grew up in NE Iowa.

Yea.....The worst part is over.   Getting the carb's off!   Not much fun reinstalling them either...... :tickedoff:

Buy an "Ultrasonic" washer.....and let everything soak in that for several hours, without the heat feature on (MAY cause other problems?).   You should not need any new parts,  unless a gasket or some other part is ruined?

Disassemble as far as you can, for the best results.  Since you can only do one or two carb's at a time, keep track of all the parts for each.

Just be sure, NOT to use a solution that will harm aluminum in the washer. It will turn black.  I like "Simple Green" or "Jungle Jake".   They are Aluminum "safe".......as per the "Air Force"........for Plane parts.

The Washers work well, and pay for themselves in no time.   Especially if you like to rebuild stuff on a regular basis.

I use heat with my ultrasonic cleaner with Simple Green. I do a half hour at a time at 50* Celsius  till they are clean. I have probably done over a dozen carbs this way with no ill effects that I am aware of.

I really liked this video. Gave lots of good pointers and such pluses quite through. Little extra with the tank clean out and seal but good info. Good luck.

RedEye has kits as well as All Balls.  RedEyes uses Viton Orings, AllBalls are nitrile.

Not sure that the RedEye kit has the inlet valves, they come stock in the AllBalls kit.

RedEye has the kits for the throttle linkage cross bar, the test kits for the sediment bowls, a good "D" tool for the air screws and seals for the intake tubes where they join the heads (122 O rings work if you come up short).
