Title: Memory foam insoles. Post by: John Schmidt on November 15, 2021, 10:43:05 AM I finally broke down and bought a couple sets for my everyday shoes. Maybe now I'll remember why I went into the kitchen for something. ;)

Post by: John Schmidt on November 15, 2021, 07:51:14 PM As far as I know, so far I've left the house with my shoes on the correct feet and my fly zipped. :cooldude:
I do have to tell this story on a grandson. Some years ago my eldest daughter and family lived just two houses up the street and her boys were always hanging out with gramps. The middle one would bite on any prank it seemed, very smart but a little dense at times. One morning as I was leaving for work and walking out the drive to my car, I was tucking in my shirt and had my fly open as I got in the car with the intention of zipping it soon as the tucking was complete. Well Craig & my daughter were there at the moment and he saw me get in with my zipper down, so he turned to his mom and told her. Then turned back to me and pointed it out to me with real concern on his face. I simply told him this was Tuesday at work and all the guys leave their zipper down...and started the car. He yells at his mom "mom, he's doing it, he's leaving it open." She looked at me, knowing full well what's happening, and shook her head. I got home about 6:00pm and honked as I drove past their place. I no sooner pulled in and there was Craig running down the street toward me so just for fun I unzipped my trousers and got out. He took one look and stopped dead in his tracks...mouth hanging open, then turned and ran back home to tell his mom. She called later just dying with laughter, telling me of all that Craig had said to everyone he talked to about his granddad's zipper thing. I've not let him forget it in all the years since, Craig now is nearly 40 and it still embarrasses him. As for me, well... ;D Our four girls mother used to tell me I'm raising damaged children. Judging by how they turned out, I don't think so. ;) |
