Title: Wheel Bearing Dust Seal Post by: Knapdog on November 29, 2021, 03:41:19 AM As recommended in Shoptalk, I've purchased one of these. I didn't think it was particularly cheap at nearly £16 inc postage, but there you go. Now that I've had the wheel off I can't see anything wrong with the old one, tbh. If I decide to put the new one on, how do I get the old one off? I don't want to start gnashing it with a screwdriver just yet. Not much friction holding that seal in.

Title: Re: Wheel Bearing Dust Seal Post by: Knapdog on November 29, 2021, 05:00:22 AM Thanks, folks. 'Twas all I needed to know.
Should I grease the new one before inserting or is it best placed with the outer part dry? Title: Re: Wheel Bearing Dust Seal Post by: Chrisj CMA on November 29, 2021, 11:37:47 AM I wouldn’t change it. Instead by a set of bearings to have on hand. They don’t come with the dust seal. Change the seal when and if you change the bearings
