Title: Fit petcock stud on to diaphragm
Post by: Knapdog on December 16, 2021, 06:04:07 AM

I can't delete this thread but I have now fitted A on to B with perseverance. Apologies.

Has anyone found an easy way of fitting the metal stud "A" on to parts "B" and "C", as it's, quite simply, beaten me.

For those encountering the problem in the future:

A little dab of Armor-All is my go-to.

I've used wd-40 or alcohol as a lubricant before. I've seen
them put back together wrongly too... The flaps or diaphragms
are fragile too, it would be easy to damage one while struggling
to reassemble the petcock... There's some good
pictures floating around on this site that show all the proper
orientations. I made this a long time ago...
