Title: anyone going to americade? Post by: Oss on April 30, 2023, 06:16:45 PM Thinking of riding up to try a new Wing
Title: Re: anyone going to americade? Post by: Valkorado on April 30, 2023, 06:37:55 PM I wish Niehaus Cycles was still raffling off a brand new Gold Wing each year. That would be my best option of getting myself one, barring committing a bikejacking. ;) I entered a few times and lost, but it was still nice to dream.
Title: Re: anyone going to americade? Post by: f6john on May 01, 2023, 05:41:52 AM Not possible for me. My next road trip will be Inzane. The balance of this years travels will have to be day trips mostly east of my home. I do plan to make an appearance at the Dragon Wyre since it’s only an hour from my front door.
Americade would be a wonderful trip/experience for me since I have never visited that part of the country. I hope you have a spare $25-30k as the force is strong once you ride the new Wing, so I’m told! :cooldude: Title: Re: anyone going to americade? I used to go every year back in the 90's, but when the "loud pipes save lives" crowd took over I stopped. Couldn't hear yourself think while walking down the main street. I think it's about 20yrs since I've been, maybe it's changed? Title: Re: anyone going to americade? The only way to get a ride on a wing is to be on line by 8am which means I have to hit the road at 430am Not happening I will have to stay overnite somewhere in the area Last time I could not get a ride as they only had 2 of them and slots filled up by 930 when I arrived I did the Lake Placid loop via Long Lake and down thru Ticonderoga then rode home with a new front tire |
