Title: If this is true, GO OKLAHOMA, more states will follow. Post by: R J on May 04, 2009, 02:08:25 PM Dont' know about the accuracy of this.
An update from Oklahoma . The state law passed today, 37 to 9, had a few liberals in the mix, an amendment to place the Ten Commandments on the front entrance to the state capitol. The feds in D.C., along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake. Hey this is a conservative state, based on Christian values... Guess what..........We did it anyway. We recently passed a law in the state to incarcerate all illegal immigrants, and ship them back to where they came from, unless they want to get a green card and become an American citizen. They all scattered. Hope we didn't send any of them to your state. This was against the advice of the Federal Government, and the ACLU, they said it would be a mistake. Guess what..........we did it anyway. Yesterday we passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database, for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional. Guess what........We did it anyway. Several weeks ago, we passed a law, declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign state, not under the Federal Government directives. That, for your information, makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. Guess what.........More states are likely to follow. Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia, just to name a few. Should Mississippi act, so will Florida . Save your confederate money, it appears the South is about to rise up once again. The federal Government has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in this state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a set back for the Kennedys and Ms Pelosi. Guess what..........We did it anyway. By the way, Obama does not like any of this. Guess what....who cares...were doing it anyway. :police: :coolsmiley: :tickedoff: :2funny: Title: Re: If this is true, GO OKLAHOMA, more states will follow. WND YOUR GOVERNMENT AT WORK Oklahoma to feds: Don't tread on me State House defends its sovereignty from D.C. intrusion Posted: June 16, 2008 10:00 pm Eastern © 2009 WorldNetDaily Steamed over a perceived increase in federal usurping of states' rights, Oklahoma's House of Representatives told Washington, D.C., to back off. Joint House Resolution 1089, passed by an overwhelming 92-3 margin, reasserts Oklahoma's sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, and, according to the resolution's own language, is "serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates." The Tenth Amendment states, "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people." Traditionally, this language has meant that the federal government is limited in its scope and cannot usurp the sovereign powers of states. In recent decades, however, as the size and reach of the federal government has expanded, many have come to question whether Washington has stepped on states' rights and gotten too big for its breeches. Charles Key, the Republican state representative who authored the resolution, told WND that he introduced it because he believes the federal government's overstepping of its bounds has put our constitutional form of government in danger. Oklahoma State Rep. Charles Key "The more we stand by and watch the federal government get involved in areas where it has no legal authority, we kill the Constitution a little at a time," he said. "The last few decades, the Constitution has been hanging by a thread." Specifically, Resolution 1089 says the following: "The State of Oklahoma hereby claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the Constitution of the United States." The resolution resolves that Oklahoma will "serve as notice and demand to the federal government, as our agent, to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers." It also instructs that "a copy of this resolution be distributed to the president of the United States, the president of the United States Senate, the speaker of the United States House of Representatives, the speaker of the House and the president of the Senate of each state's legislature of the United States of America, and each member of the Oklahoma congressional delegation." The resolution does not, as some have speculated, amount to secession, but it does send a warning signal to Washington: Oklahoma does not intend to be bullied by big brother government. Rick Perry (R-TX), who was last making headlines for suggesting that Texas may consider seceding from the Union, is requesting help from the federal government to deal with a possible swine flu pandemic:
Gov. Rick Perry today in a precautionary measure requested the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provide 37,430 courses of antiviral medications from the Strategic National Stockpile to Texas to prevent the spread of swine flu. Currently, three cases of swine flu have been confirmed in Texas. Go Texas! Title: Re: If this is true, GO OKLAHOMA, more states will follow. Post by: f-Stop on May 04, 2009, 06:35:37 PM Yeah, Gov. Title: Re: If this is true, GO OKLAHOMA, more states will follow. Post by: Scanner on May 05, 2009, 08:03:40 AM There is no vaccine for swine flu, he wanted free Tamiflu from the Federal government ...
These secessionist states remind me of my kid when he was 8 yrs old. Cry and whine when things didn't go his way then threaten to run away from home. I encouraged him to go and he'd stick his X-Box in his backpack (the necessities) and sit in the field till he got hungry.... Title: Re: If this is true, GO OKLAHOMA, more states will follow. Post by: stormrider on May 05, 2009, 08:04:02 AM The GA senate passed a similar resolution. Not an actual act of secession but reafirming states rights. Go GA, OK and TX. As a delegate to the Southern National Congress we will more than likely take this up at Congress at Cheaha in Sept.
