Put the new Cobra on the rear last week. . . I've always ran the Avon Venons, using 42 in the front and 45 in the rear. I still havea Venon on the front, so that's not an issue. . .  I put my 'normal' 45 in the new Cobra. It feels great, but I was wondering what the general concensus on running higher pressure in the Cobras was? Thanks!     

I have not run any Avons, but here is what I always do when upgrading to a better tire than OE.

Look at what the manual called for for the OE D206s the bike came with (?), then look at the Max PSI printed on the side of the upgrade cobra sidewall, and go halfway between the two.  This is always a good starting point.  D206 manual pressures are too low on better tires, and every other tire that will fit the Valk is better.   

I would not change a thing, Valk is hard on all brands, and you will get better service with the higher pressure.  Have not ran the Cobra, but got good svc out of all the others at 42/45, even the stock Dunnies.

I've been running 45/45 in all of my tires since changing out the OEM's after really short life.  I am running the Cobras now and like them.

I did the switch from Venom to Cobra and found that the lower pressure seemed to be better as far as handling. The Venom used to cup badly unless the pressure was at 46. The Cobras because of tread design don't seem to have the same problem so I lowered the pressure since it does give a bigger footprint and should translate to better mileage. so I run 41 in the rear and 40 in the front and have been happy with them actually very happy so we will see what kind of Mileage I get with these. I almost forgot the buzz or vibration on turns that were so common on the Venoms are gone with the Cobras even at the lower pressure.
