Title: Memorial for my father, Jim "Troublemaker" Barron. Post by: Baron on July 26, 2014, 03:49:25 PM I planned my father's memorial for 10am Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Rhoton Funeral Home in Carrollton. All are welcome to attend. There is no viewing, because my father asked to be cremated, but we will have a short service in their chapel. We will have food and beverages catered afterwards so we can share some stories with one another so I hope you will attend.
On Monday, August 11, 2014, at 10 am we will have a ceremony at the DFW National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend. Since there is no casket, we will meet at DFW National Cemetery. Below is a link to my father's obituary please feel free to leave comments or pictures. http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=James-Barron&lc=4581&pid=171858663&mid=6060744 (http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=James-Barron&lc=4581&pid=171858663&mid=6060744) Title: Re: Memorial for my father, Jim "Troublemaker" Barron. I wish I was closer. I would have attended. It sounds like you are doing the best of a sad situation. :'( My thoughts are with you. :-X Title: Re: Memorial for my father, Jim "Troublemaker" Barron. Post by: RainMaker on August 04, 2014, 05:39:55 AM I am planning on attending both events.

Title: Re: Memorial for my father, Jim "Troublemaker" Barron. Post by: RainMaker on August 09, 2014, 10:51:12 AM What an incredible memorial to your father, Dave. Everyone spoke from the heart and "Griff", what stories he told of the incredible life your father led. As he said, one of the greatest Americans that no one will ever know about due to the nature of his activities in defense of our freedom.
I feel like I know Jim a little better now and it makes my patriotism grow even stronger as I think of all that he gave. Thank you for sharing. Mark |
