When looking for OEM parts from HDL, What is the correct number to referance...(for the Interstate) GL 1500 C GL 1500 CF GL 1500 CT GL 1500 SE GL 1500 A Actually, what does each number represent? I was guessing C=Standard, CT=Tourer, ? ???
TIA

CF is the Interstate.
C is Standard.
CT is Tourer.
SE and A are the 1500 Goldwing.

Valkyrie also has GL1500 CD (2002 I think) (Glorified C .... not sure of the specific differences between the C and CD).

It is my understanding the D is for Deluxe. Which includes polished and clear coated wheels and (I think) final drive.

There may be some exceptions, but the Standards produced from 2001 and on carried the CD designation. The VINs were different than the earlier Standards, i.e. 1HFSC346 versus 1HFSC340 which was used on the 1997-2000 models. I hadn't heard about the D designating delux, but that may very well may be true. Does anyone have a 2001 or later Standard that isn't designated CD (it should say on the lower left corner of the VIN decal on the steering head)? Is there any correlation to clear coated wheels or final drive? (I was thinking all the later standards had clear coated wheels). -RP

I have an '03 STD, and I can vouch for the cleared Rear Drive, the rims are polished. I don't have the bike with me right now, but I will be riding her after lunch, so I'll check then, and give you an update.

I have tried to figure out differences between the C and CD. I`m not 100% sure, but I think the CD have different painting. I know these two pictures are GL1500CD

Model "C" : 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2003 Model "CD" : 2001, 2002 and 2003
I have to go throught the fiche for the 2003 "C" and 2003 "CD" and see if I can find the difference.

Looking at Total Motorcycle... If you notice the link Trynt posted... the 2001 CD has a 6.1 gallon tank, while the 2001 C on the same site says it has a 4.7 gallon tank. I'm thinking that the CD designates a Standard with the I/S tank.

But, an IS tank is 6.9 gallons, not 6.1.

It lists the I/S as 6.1 gallons as well. What's "Imperial Gallons"? Could that have something to do with it? Because I was under the understanding that my Std holds a little over 5 gallons (personal experience... 3 blocks is a lot farther to push a Valk than you'd think!).

1 Imp.Gallon = 4.55 Litre 1 US Gallon = 3.78 Litre
27.6 Litre = 6.07 Imp. Gallon 27.6 Litre = 7.29 US Gallon
The Valkyrie Standard "C" has a 5.3 US Gallon tank (20,06 Litre) The Interstate has a 6.9 US Gallon tank (26.1 Litre)

My 2003CD came with a 5.3 gal. tank, which I later swapped out for a 6.9.
