My 99 Standard has a coolant leak somewhere.  Not frequent, but about once every 2 months I notice a couple of drops of coolant on the floor, underneath the left front area of the bike. Some artivles say the water pump is bad and needs replacement. Others say that tow small hoses connecting the radiator are leaking.   Any consensus on what my problem could be?

The T'Stat housing has the top radiator hose connection. That clamp is famous for being loose. A long screwdriver will often reach it. If not, the radiator will have to be tilted forward.

Hello, and speaking only from personal experience…

I would further recommend changing the clamp completely with one which is wider… Tightening the original clamps usually is a Band-Aid fix and will eventually start leaking again

However, if you replace the entire clamp with a wider one available at any local parts store… this solves the problem

Hope this helps

Yours truly,
