Handgun question
«
on:
March 21, 2018, 05:16:28 PM »
Has anyone out there disassembled their polymer frame handguns and installed aftermarket triggers, sear and striker? I'm wanting to install the Apex tactical trigger in my M&P Shield and while a bit technical it doesn't appear to be that bad a job with the right roll pin punches. YouTube is great but I'm just curious if anyone has firsthand experience

Not on a Smith, but I did do a trigger on my Keltec PF9.
I am no gunsmith, but it was pretty straight forward.
I suppose it depends on the directions.

I have not done that job. Sorry.
But I'd copy (or study) any good Utubes you can find on the subject, because Utube (owned by Google) has just announced they are taking action to cut down (even more) on all firearm related Utubes that are out there. Their announcement seems to be somewhat limited to bump stocks and fast triggers and a few other things, but there is no way to really know how far they are going to take it. This is really a shame since I (and many) rely on them all the time for all kinds of (ENTIRELY LEGAL) things.

No experience here holmie, haven't attempted changing any triggers on my hand guns.
