So over the winter I disassembled, cleaned and synced the carbs, desmogged her and installed an adjustable ECM switch. Bike start perfect and idles around 900rpm, when I put it in gear with the clutch held in the rpm increases to about 1100rpm. It didn’t do that last year and I’m just wondering whatj might have caused it.

It's gotta be ECM related.  Maybe the computer detects a resistance and is trying to maintain idle.  Is the clutch fluid new.  Maybe needs bleeding.  That might reduce the drag some when you put it in gear.

Do the RPMs increase when you pull in tbe clutch or when you actually put it in gear?

As soon as I put it in gear. I would think if there was clutch drag the rpm would drop due to the resistance.

If you did ecm adjustable switch that I am thinking you are referring to, the way to know it is working, the rpm, s increase when in gear and drop back down in neutral
