HI,

I'm a new owner of a 2014 Valkyrie and live in The Colony. I was curious how do I join the Texas Chapter? Do you guys do group rides, etc.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Joining is easy.  You just did.

Do we do group rides?  Yes.  We used to do them more often.  With the weather being more riding type, I expect us to do some more.

Come to the meeting and we'll talk.

Welcome Jim

You'll be happy to know that another member of our group ALSO rides the 'new version' Valk.  Not sure what year it is.

His handle is Brew1Brew.

He makes it to most of the meetings.

how about a meeting discussing splitting  the "Texas Forest Trail" on 2 weekends--the northern 1/2 above I30/Hi-80 one day /weekend-some 300 odd miles and the southern below I-30/80 some 400 miles another weekend?

Well, someone should suggest a place.  I won't because I don't want to pick a place too far west.

Soulman's or Rudy's in Plano/Frisco

That's fine. Just need to know so I can plan the trip, make sure I've got a full tank and have my hotel reservations on the way there.

Could be worse.  You could be making the pilgrimage to Woody's place.  You can see the St Louis Arch from there, I think.

Could be even worse, could be at Godfire’s place, I think you can see Russia from there.

2014, in the fastest color, Blue! I can't make the meeting this week as I have a work obligation. if only the meeting was a ride to someplace for breakfast on Saturday, I could make that!

lots of life changes going on! sold the house, new house won't be ready until end of June, so homeless living in the Plano Extended stay till May, then off to our daughters house in Vegas!

Great turnout tonight. Good to see everyone. Like Tom said, as long as you were riding north or south, the wind didn't matter, but east/west was typical Texas spring with gusts up to 30 mph.

Thanks to Woody for providing a blessing for the bikes.
