old phone# (360) 757-8886  no longer in service.
or another source for High Quality shock bushings which replace OEM# 52489-MW3-305   Thanks

The VTX or F6 ones are poly. Hold up much longer than the stock ones.

I had Gary's bushings and they were not all they were cracked up to be.  I wore out a pair fairly quickly, and he sent me a new pair, gratis, which wore out just as fast.  I've been using the VTX bushings noted above with excellent results.  They're not "forever" items, but they're way better than the OEM ones, lasting several times as long.  On the VTX, I think they are only used at the top of the shocks, but on the Valkyrie they can be used at the bottom as well.  You can identify them by their dark green colour. (In the photo below, compare the colour of the bushing to the colour of the text on the package.)

many have switched to nylon bushings with great results.  here is one forum, a web search will bring up many others esp VTX sites

I have been using these made by Redeye on an Interstate, which is frequently loaded; the jury is still out on longevity.

Those would be wheel dampers, not shock bushings.

When I had Progressive on my IS, I asked them if they used the same bushings as stock Honda shocks. They said No.

If you contact Progressive, they'll send (sell probably) you a baggie filled with
different sized bushings. Their bushings are brass or something, takes a long
time to wear them out, but they still wear out before the prong on the bike
that you mount them to...

Yes Mike.  I probably still have two compete sets of the Progressive 440 bushings, that don't fit the Valk.  They are completely different than stock (or other Honda bushings that will work).  More like a rigid mount.

Why do we save these things?   Probably because we paid for them, and have some cockamamie idea they might come in handy for fixing a screen door or something.  Grin
