Rode to work Monday morn and had to park outside.  Cry Got in a fight, rather a arguement, with security, about me parking in our EMS garage.  Angry This morning I started the bike and the idle would jump about 300 rpm and then drop back down. It did this a few times. 35 deg out. No engine miss. Could just be a fluke. Did use choke, it has the ETC mod. Desmoged, pingel, ect mod, and audiovox CC. No backfire/ popping. Never done this before.

I've seen that happen with a heat soaked engine.
But, maybe yours is the cold affecting your ETC mod wiring as an expansion contraction sort of thing. Were your connections soldered? If not I would check those first.

With the cruise control and the ETC modification you have performed it is all guess work as to what the problem is.

Since the surging stopped when the motor warmed up I would suggest to not worry about it and wait till warmer days to investigate what's going on.

On the other hand it will probably entail disrupting some of the modifications and returning back to stock to find the culprit.

Good luck there.

Started her up in the garage tonight to ride and all was fine.  ??? 47 deg out tonight. Hmmm.... I'll wait to see if it does it again before I tear into her.
