I was able to find a dealer in Massachusetts willing to sell the new Gold Wing for less than MSRP. Central Mass Powersports in Lunenburg sold it for $1,000 less than MSRP and discount accessory parts by 10% I bought the Ardent Red Tour model with manual transmission, with the fog light and passenger armrest accessories. It may be ready for pick-up on Saturday. I hope so.  cooldude

Before I post it for sale on Craigslist, I figured I'd post here if you know of anybody who may be interested. Anybody interested can call me a Five Zero Eight Three Eight Zero Nine Nine Five Six. I'd be happy to speak with them.

 Cool

2000 Honda Valkyrie Tourer. Six cylinder engine with stump pulling torque and abundant roll-on power packed into a traditionally styled motorcycle. The ultimate minimalist bags and shield touring bike. 100,820 miles. $3,400. Many bolt-on shiny bits. Always garaged. Meticulously maintained. Clymer Service manual and service records provided with sale.

Other items available items for sale with the bike are a vented Clearview shorty smoke colored shield and a T-Bag for the bike’s luggage rack.

Congrats Tony, it is a beautiful bike that color is awesome. Honda hit a homer with this bike from everything I've seen and read about it.

Funny thing, Deb asked me earlier today if Tony had bought a GW yet.

Hope this bike brings you as much joy as the Valkyrie.

Can't wait to see it in person.

P.S.  $3,400 for your Valk is a steal. I'm guessing they offered less for a trade in, that's a sin. I guess we (former Valk owners) know the true beauty and capabilities of the bike and not appreciated by the masses.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes! Looks like the accessories are on back order and won't arrive till maybe May 17th. I've opted to wait until the accessories are installed before I get the bike. That means Saturday May 19th unless the dealer can get a hold of them sooner. Oh well. I can wait.

Thanks Gary. The price is based on a review of both Kelly Blue Book and NADA Guide websites for a 2000 Valkyrie Tourer. The bike is in very good shape and runs great. I've put nearly 500 miles on it all ready this season. I think the price is reasonable, but it's a guess what buyers might wish to spend.  Undecided

Good for you Tony on the new bike but also sad to see the Valkyrie go.  I have a soft spot and that is a very clean bike...  Trudy says we have enough bikes in the garage Smiley

I wish I could think of someone that might want it but can't.

Thanks Brett. I'm a bit nostalgic about letting it go, too. But I think it's the right time for me. The Valkyrie will always be special though because it lead to the wonderful on-going relationships with the New England VRCC, that will continue.  cooldude
