This is the harness in front of the air cleaner box.
The red, white, and blue connectors all come from the engine itself. But can't find what connects to the black lead. I took dozens of photos as I went, but for some reason, didn't bother in there.

I doubt that it was hanging loose, so what am I missing?
Thanks,
L

I'm guessing that's the connector for your fan motor switch and fan motor. If the wires are green and the other is black/blue, then bingo.

This is the connection behind the steering neck covers?
if so it it the engine coolant temp sensor connector (ECT)
Wires should be Grey & Black and Pink & White.

Nope, you're referring to the blue connector shown connected in the picture(green/black & pink/white). The unconnected black one in question is green & black/blue, for the fan motor and fan motor switch. Needs to check his harness coming from the back of the radiator(fan), bet he has an unconnected one coming up from there.

As per usual, John got it in one.
As soon as I grabbed my radiator it was obvious where the "missing" connector was.
Thanks  everyone who chimed in.

Very strange karma... I just now finished hooking up the fan motor lead on that connector..
